Developing the relationship gauge to 100% in either direction will lock it in at that point, preventing you from decreasing the gauge. At this stage, further relationship alterations are disabled and that companion will be completely dedicated to working with Hawke Campeón either a friend or rival.

You first encounter Merrill during the “Long Way Home” quest Ganador she is a member of the Dalish Elf clan that you need to take the amulet to that Flemeth gave to you. The Keeper asks you to take Merrill with you, unbeknownst to you, Merrill has a bit of an obsession with an ancient elvish artifact that has resulted in her alienation from the rest of the clan.

Her swiftness and accuracy ensure she plays a esencial role in the strategic dynamics of your Dragon Age 2 party.

Just flirting with a character will unlock the Flirtatious achievement/trophy, but the Romantic achievement/trophy won't unlock until just before the final battle in Act 3.

Completion – Ganador the conversation plays trasnochado you will be given the choice of whether to fight Castillon or not. If you do fight him, and kill him, you will get a large rivalry increase with Castillon. The end of this encounter will be the end of the quest.

Execution – You will need to go to Lowtown at night to start helping Isabela. Here you will encounter some enemies and need to fight your way to a foundry in the Foundry District. Inside the Foundry Isabela will run off leaving you a member short in your party.

It is possible to sleep with all romantic companions, except Sebastian, in a single game. Sleeping with any of the companions does not prevent the development of other romances. However asking either Anders contact me or Merrill to move in after sleeping with them will deactivate the romance flags of all other characters, and remove critical flirt lines from their dialogue.

Ultimately there is no happy ending for someone who consorts with demons, nor for people who distrusted her so much that they couldn’t let her face the consequences. But Merrill is subversive, tragic, and somehow, still a joy to know.

Across BioWare’s catalog, there probably isn’t a character with more emotional range than Merrill, the Dalish blood mage. When Hawke first meets her, she seems young and innocent, but contact me it becomes clear she’s viewed in contempt by her elven clan. It becomes clear shortly after that she has been working with a demon and using the much-reviled blood magic. Even Ganador she casts spells that would be taboo elsewhere in the world, contact me she is still somehow one of the most light-hearted and humorous characters in the entire series.

One of the most useful applications of a rune slot is with the "Warding" runes; they will confer the numeric value of an elemental resistance such that it equates to resisting 90% of that element's damage at the companion's level. The value of the rune will increase with level up in companion armor, effectively granting them 90% resistance to that element throughout the game.

I have my own favourites within this elite group, namely Anders and Fenris. I know that Anders is a controversial choice because he essentially lights the fuse that triggers DA: Inquisition
